Dear Tracy,
I'm not sure where you're based - from the
kangi I would suppose somewhere in asia - anyway, thanks
for featuring my music! "To The Beach" is not one of my
best known tracks, but I think it's a good tune and I'm
very happy to hear it's reaching a wider audience thanks
to your show!
Keep up the good work - the world really needs gentle and
relaxing music in these complicated, stressful, modern
days!
Best regards,
Chris Glassfield
Dear Chris,
I am so happy u found this page and actually wrote
something to me. I am based in Taiwan, you are right,
the kanji is chinese characters... you are good....
I am a radio host, I host a show from Mon. - Fri.
11pm - 1am at a radio station called News98 FM98.1
(www.news98.com.tw) , Its a mandarin speaking program,
so i guess you might not able to understand. But
it's not all that important. The most important thing is
to share relaxing music with everyone on air. Like yours.
I love the song "To the Beach" from the album "Summertime",
also the song "dance of the snowflakes" from "Wintertime",
keep up the great work, looking forward to your new
release.
best regard,
Tracy
Hello Tracy,
What a nice surprise - you found my words and replied!
I'm not sooo good - I speak reasonable Japanese, so some
of your kangi are understandable to me, but you are right:
I would be lost indeed in a mandarin forest!
It's interesting, isn't it, to communicate across such a
huge distance with someone who you've never met and don't
really know anything about; someone you just encountered
almost randomly through the mysterious, interconnecting
dance of electrons on the internet...
What a strange, exhilarating, exhausting, bitter/sweet
symphony this modern life can be! Stressful - for sure,
confusing - at times; challenging and demanding - of
course, but always fascinating!
I try to remain light, flexible and open even in my plans;
ready to receive whatever gifts coincidence may bring -
like your reply!
Now, I have some new music you might enjoy. Just let me
know your "snailmail" address if you'd like me to send you
a CD.
Best regards,
Chris
Hello again Tracy,
Of course, it requires a lot more roman letters to say
what you want than kangi!
Anyway, I just wanted to mention that I'm hoping to do
some concerts in japan and Korea this Autumn.
Maybe Taiwan is not too far away from those countries...
You obviously know Taiwan well - how easy do you think it
would it be to do some smallish concerts there?
I am intending to play duetts of my own tunes plus some
popular classical pieces and sell CDs etc from the stage.
You must be busy, of course, but if you have a spare
moment to write I would be very interested to hear any
ideas or suggestions.
I went fishing yesterday... Spring in Devon, England is a
painting in blue and green: gently rolling hills, wild
flowers and ever changing water moods of river and sea...
I am still relaxed: kissed by the generous mouth of the
Sun; caressed by the sea air; I'll sleep well tonight! But
now I have Mackerel and Whiting to cook! Hmmm delicious!
I wish you a peaceful day.
Chris
